In 2011, during a visit to a resale shop, founder Heather discovered a profound truth: a designer handbag could become a tool for restoration. This moment sparked One Purse—a social enterprise addressing the critical gap in economic opportunities for women overcoming trauma, providing pathways to financial independence and lasting freedom.
Closing the Gap to Freedom
When women leave situations of exploitation or domestic abuse, they face significant barriers to economic independence. One Purse bridges this gap through the rePURPOSE Project, where survivors gain meaningful employment and develop professional skills in a safe, trauma-informed environment that honors their journey.
